Development Environment

The Linux OS comes with a custom development environment based on Eclipse, an open source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) widely utilized in software development.
Along with Eclipse IDE, the Telit Development Environment comprises also:
  • coLinux virtual machine: a port of the Linux kernel that allows it to run simultaneously in parallel with Microsoft Windows on the same machine
  • Xming: leading free unlimited X Window Server for Microsoft Windows

This powerful toolkit allows full development of GE863-PRO³ LinuxOS application software on a Windows™ machine.

All the software development life cycle can be carried out with low investment on development hardware, with final test and debug sessions running on the Telit EVK-PRO³ Evaluation board.
